Legal Assistant
Melissa graduated from Northwest University in 2006 with a bachelor of arts in Intercultural Studies and a minor in political science. As part of her education, she spent five and a half months in China studying the culture and language. She continues to study Chinese, and hopes to add German, Spanish, and Portuguese to her list of languages.
Melissa brings nearly ten years of for-profit and mission work experience to Nelson Law Group, demonstrating organizational skills, a passion for service, and an ability to understand, appreciate and communicate with people from diverse cultures.
She is also currently furthering her experience as a legal assistant and her education in preparation for additional work in the field of international human rights, emphasizing poverty-stricken parts of the world.
Hailing from the Midwest, Melissa enjoys staying in touch with family and loved ones back home. Her new husband continues to be a joyful highlight and support each day. Her love for God, people, languages and travel are filling her life and career with adventure and purpose.
